Cookie Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies and browser storage that OpenHood (openhood.si) uses. For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
02What we use
This is the full list of cookies and storage items set by OpenHood:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
oh_session | First-party cookie, httpOnly | Keeps a signed-in user logged in | 30 days | Strictly necessary |
oh_anon | First-party cookie, httpOnly | Random ID that keeps an anonymous visitor’s chats and enforces the free-message limit | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
oh_consent | Browser localStorage | Remembers that the cookie notice was dismissed | Until cleared | Strictly necessary |
oh_mode | Browser localStorage | Remembers your Fast/Deep answer mode preference | Until cleared | Functional (preference) |
Our cookies are marked httpOnly (so scripts on the page cannot read them), Secure (sent over HTTPS only) and SameSite (limiting when they are sent with requests from other sites).
03What we do not use
OpenHood does not set analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not use cookies to build profiles of you or to follow you across other websites.
04Why there is no consent banner
EU law allows websites to store information that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for without asking for consent first. Our cookies and the oh_consent item fall into that category. The only other item, oh_mode, simply remembers a setting you chose, stays on your device and is never used for tracking.
That is why we show a short informational notice rather than a consent wall. If we ever add non-essential cookies, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent before setting them and update this policy first.
05Third-party content
Token logos come from third-party hosts, such as IPFS gateways, DexScreener’s image CDN, company-logo services and project websites. Our server fetches them and serves them to you from openhood.si, so these hosts do not receive your IP address or browser details and cannot set cookies in your browser.
06How to control and clear them
You can view and delete cookies and site data in your browser settings — usually under Privacy, Privacy and security or Cookies and site data. Most browsers also let you open the site information panel from the icon next to the address bar and clear data for the current site only. Clearing site data for openhood.si removes both our cookies and our local storage items. You can also block cookies for the site entirely.
Please be aware of what happens if you do:
- Removing or blocking
oh_sessionsigns you out, and you will not be able to stay signed in. - Removing
oh_anondisconnects your browser from any anonymous chats. They stay on our servers until they are deleted after 90 days of inactivity — sign up or sign in first if you want to keep them. Blocking it stops anonymous chats from working. - Clearing local storage shows the cookie notice again and resets your answer mode.
07Changes and contact
We will update this policy, and the “Last updated” date above, whenever the cookies or storage we use change. Questions? Email [email protected].
